DISTRICT DESCRIPTION:

The Bacon/Saxe District covers a large rural area in south-central Charlotte County.  Geographically, the district resembles an "L" shape, and covers the largest land area of the seven districts.  The western portion of the district (Saxe precinct) is roughly bounded on the north by Fearstown Rd., on the south and west by the Halifax County line, and on the east by Saxkey Rd. and Hamilton Rd.  The eastern portion of the district (Bacon precinct) is roughly bounded on the north by Horsepen Creek, on the south by Hebron Church Rd., on the east by the Lunenburg and Mecklenburg County lines, and on the west by Westview Farm Rd. The district has no incorporated towns, but includes the communities of Saxe, Randolph, Scuffletown, and Fort Mitchell.  Most residents of the district have either Saxe, Randolph, or Drakes Branch mailing addresses.

PERSONAL:

Married for 26 years to wife, Sara R. Guill.  Four children, ranging in age from 14 to 24.

EMPLOYMENT:

Served as a Virginia State Trooper in Charlotte County in the 1980s. Then served as a teacher, and later as a principal, with the Charlotte County Public Schools for many years. Currently employed as an administrator/director with Halifax County Public Schools.
